Continuous Daylight Autonomy Formula

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone of you knows which is the mathematical formula that the program uses to calculate the cDA (continuous daylight autonomy) value, which comes out to the “Honeybee_Read annual results I” component.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Matteo

You won’t find this formula in Honeybee code as this comes In the form of a file from Daysim simulation. The formula goes as following;
CDA = Illuminance at a point at a particular hour / illuminance threshold
So if the iluminance threshold is 300 lux and a point receives 200 lux at some hour then DA would rate it as 0 whereas CDA will rate it as 200/300 = 0.66
