Cumulative calculation time - Analysis Grid + Annual DL Recipe HB[+]

Hi all,

I’ve periodically noticed that the Analysis Grid and Annual Daylight Recipe components will take longer and longer to compute with every iteration of the solution. It happened quite a while ago and somehow I either resolved it or it went away with a newer version. In any case, I’d like to know if I’ve overlooked something silly or if there is a larger issue?

It could be a memory issue perhaps. I’ve made a short video from a simplified definition here. The front of the def is grabbing geometry from layers, and the analysis grid remains the same with each iteration, around 1000 points.

Thanks in advance for any help

This is a known issue with Honeybee[+] AnalysisGrid inside Grasshopper. My suggestion is to use Honeybee legacy for the studies with more than a couple of 100 test points for now until we address this issue in a new release.
