Daylight simulation in Ladybug Tools

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a daylight simulation in Ladybug Tools with Ladybug version 1.8.
The simulation performs an annual daylight analysis for a room

with dynamic shading (split-blinds in 2 zones) but doesn’t work. Maybe Components like Annual Daylight Metrics and Annual Sunlight Exposure are throwing errors.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help,

So, the quick initial questions are:

  • platform - mac or windows?
  • if windows, did you use the pollination installer
  • if not, do that.
  • if yes, update it
  • can you run the example models?
  • if not, there is something wrong with you setup.
  • if yes, can you share the file

hello LittleBuddha,

i m working on windows, i tried pollination installer but nothing!
system doesn’t let me share the file. Alternative way to send the gh file?

annual_daylight_dynamic_blinds 1.gh (175.9 KB)
here is the grasshoper file!
thanks!

  • can you run the example models?
  • if not, there is something wrong with you setup.

Hi! I can’t run the examples!

Then there is something wrong with you setup.

Try reinstalling the pollination gh plugin, restarting and trying again?

are you getting any helpful error messages?

The pollination plugin is installed but I don’t know how to use it! Please help me!

Hi @Yiannis,

Can you try to update the component to the latest version? It should say 1.10.0 or 1.10.1.

If you don’t have it you can update your core libraries with LB Versioner – reopen Rhino when it finished updating.

Hi mikkel,

It’s ok, thanks !
