I’m working on a class project and struggling to compute the results I need, so I’m hoping for some help.
For my assignment, I want to design a movable-bed smart farm system that maximizes the solar radiation received by the crop beds. In this system, beds can move vertically by floor, and horizontally by line.
I’d like to have each bed move over time so that shadows cast by neighboring beds are minimized and the UDI (Useful Daylight Illuminance) value is maximized. I’m thinking about how to calculate this and set it up.
I’d really appreciate it if you could explain a solution or point me to references I can study!
