LBT semi crash on opening

Hi,
By mistake this was posted on the Pollination discourse by one student of mine [@shiraz.
Anyway, this is the issue:

hello’ Im a new user and I’m trying to start using LBT for a class.
I’m having an issue when trying to insert any LBT component. When inserting it takes many seconds to respond, and finally Rhino crashes without reporting any issue. Rhino just closes.

I will appreciate any help or ideas how to solve this.

My take on this:
@shiraz is a student of mine. We installed pollination through the installer [2-3 times]. It is very weird, since this semi-crash happens only with LBT components. It is not reporting errors or files. It just closes [that’s why I called this a “Semi crash”].
The installation went well, without issues.
@chris ,any ideas on what to check? It is [or was] supposed to be a very smooth process.
All other students went over the installation process well, without problems.

Thanks for re-posting it here. Does Shriaz have SentinelOne or some other antivirus software installed on her machine?

If not, can you confirm that this crash happens both for Ladybug components as well as Honeybee?

Hi Chris,
Yes, there was antivirus software installed on my computer. After uninstalling it, I was able to successfully download and install the software.
