Modeling Heat Transfer Between Two Adjacent Zones

Hello,

I am using LBT 1.2.0 to model a small house. I was curious if there is a way to model heat transfer between two adjacent zones (the zones have different heating setpoints). The boundary conditions available for Honeybee faces are “Outdoors” or “Adiabatic”, but neither seems to be the right fit. Thanks for your help!

You should use the HB Solve Adjacency component:

It will automatically set adjacent geometries to have a Surface boundary condition with heat flow between the rooms.
