Problem with context shading names: "Alpha Argument length exceeds maximum"

Hi all,

My simulation seems to be running but I’m getting a weird warning message related to the names of my context geometries:

It’s looking like HB might be applying a faulty naming scheme where each new surface gets an additional number appended? Is this a problem?

Did you try to rename the shading surfaces? I’m not sure why the naming is like that but I can’t check your file right now.

Hi Mostapha, on the component that I’m using there is no input to specify the names - how do I do that?

There’s another component to see/get surface name. I believe it should also work for shading surfaces. You can try that one.

This worked for me, thanks. For future reference: the component is called Honeybee_Get or Set HB Object Name
