Radiative/Convective splits and thermal lag?

Is there a way in the Honeybee EP components to override the default radiative vs. convective load splits for zone internal heat gains when calculating peak cooling loads?

Similar topic…what inputs in the Honeybee EP components change the radiative thermal lag curves for the simulation? i.e., how does Honeybee know the space is a heavyweight zone versus a lightweight zone with less thermal mass?

As part of the material definition you MUST supply in E+ are the following items:
Conductivity (W/m-K)
Density (kg/m3)
Specific Heat (J/kg-K)
Thickness (m)
Giving them you “control” the thermal mass and the radiative properties. E+'s calculations “solves” their influence. I suggest you to check the Engineering Reference for more technical details, and/or the Input-Output Reference.

thanks Abraham…I guess I was looking for a solution to be used in early phase analysis when specific materials aren’t necessarily known but I’m analyzing assembly values prescriptively in combination with impact on varying radiative/convective splits.
