Thermal Load Balance Description

Hi everyone,

I’m using Honeybee’s Thermal Load Balance component to evaluate a building model. I did not assign mechanical ventilation or a heating system, but the chart still reports mechanical-ventilation heat loss and significant heating gains.

Does this graph represent the building’s thermal demand or current building’s performance? I mean it gives us estimation about how should be energy gains and loses in this building or how it currently is?

you need to set hb assign load to 0 for the last 3 loads, with vent per floor, vent per person and ACH. They control only mechanical ventilation. natural ventilation is controlled only via window opening
