What are the default "active occupancy hours"?

If I don’t input occupancyFiles_, what does the Read Annual Daylight Results I consider to be “active occupancy hours”?

I’m assuming it’s either a fixed range (e.g. 9am-5pm) or an exact calculation of sunrise to sunset for each day?
