Can't let Ladybug or Honeybee Fly?

Ben, Can you please try the attached file and let me know if it solves the issue. It should wait only for 10s and then give up and give you a warning! Thanks, -Mostapha

Hi Mostapha,

Sorry it took 337.4 Seconds and no warning!

Hi Ben! Thanks for checking. Let’s try again. Can you send me a screen capture so I see which one causes the issue? Something like the image below.

If components don’t show the timing you can turn it on from Display>Canvas Widgets > Profiler

Equal times…

Thanks Ben. I will work more on this tomorrow night and will keep you posted. Looks like the timeout doesn’t do anything here! Can you do me a favor and try the older versions of components? If it takes the same for those then we are 100% sure that the time out is not effective at all.

Thanks Mostapha.

I’m not sure where to get any older versions of the components unfortunately, so I got the 0.0.54 Ladybug from your github. It fires up in 442ms, which is great! Honeybee 0.0.55 standard component (not your new one) takes 2.8 minutes.

Hope that helps somewhat?

Definitely helped! Let’s try this one.

I’m using Windows methods to download the files instead of Python and moved the files to github. I hope this solve the issues on your side.

Set the Boolean to True and let’s see how long does it take for component to download the files and print out the numbers.

The component assumes you have a folder as c:\ladybug already created: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0bitdduywpgvycu/downloading_issues.gh?dl=0

This one looks good, Ladybug and Honeybee were fast this time. Perhaps this has sorted it?

Great! Looks we are good to go. Thanks.

Fantastic! Thanks for your help with this issue Mostapha, this will speed things up greatly
