Error updating to latest LBT version

I was on V1.6.0 and used the Versioner, which failed with the following error message (Apologies for the low resolution - I forgot to take a screenshot at the time so this is a screenshot of a meeting recording during which it happened):

I think in the 3rd paragraph it’s saying:
“Package ladybug-rhino==1.39.14 may not have been updated correctly or its usage in the plugin may have changed. See pip stdev below:
b"ERROR” could not install packages due to an EnvironmentError: [WinError 32] The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process: ‘c\\users\\max.marschall\\ladybug_tools\\python\\scripts\\ladybug-rhino.exe’\r\nConsider using the ‘–user’ option"

I reopened Rhino but now when I try to use the versioner it says this:

[MaxMarschall]

I’ve reinstalled using the Pollination installer which has solved it for me

Ladybug update problem

Hi @ar00302 , Sorry for the late response. There was a change that Windows made to file permissions that resulted in breaking the LB Versioner. We have pushed a fix but you have to do a little extra to get things running on your end given that your Versioner is broken. All in all, there are three different ways that you can fix the issue: 1.
