How to Output Total Facility Gas?

Reading the E+ PDfs, it seems to suggest that the ‘right’ method is to first run a simulation without any outputs, then open the resulting *.rdd file to see what variables are allowed / present? Is that the right way to approach this sort of thing?

Yes this is the right approach. When you have a HVAC system attached the amount of outputs will vary according to the system. So is you have a system with all these different gas-fired equipments the total use off gas is the sum of these parts.
