Input _geo is not a closed volume

Thanks for taking the time for checking, @Erikbeeren. I’m still puzzled about what could have led to the issue. The original file was much more complicated and extensive. At some point I duplicated the model and then incorporated some more components to generate additional geometry and after a while I noticed I had a HB Room from Solid that had turned orange, which in turn was caused by an Invalid Brep.

This wasn’t the first time happening so I decided to come here and report. I will keep you guys updated in case it happens again.

Edit: Yes, units tolerance was fine.

Dear Chris,

I face the similar problem where ‘’

  1. Input _faces do not form a closed volume. Room volume must be closed to access most honeybee features. Preview the output Room to see the holes in your model.‘’ However, the warning only show every time my facade opening is more than 0%, but if the facade opening 0% this warning did not show up. Could you guys help me with this warning? Hereby I am attaching my file.

Hi @franciszen

Please clean up your model befor putting it on the forum.

With honeybee you first have to make the room, and after that put in the windows.

Hi all,

I am having issues with this in v1.10.0

As you can see in the screen shot below i am getting invalid breps out of intersect solids even though the brep being fed in is a closed brep. This is giving me geo is not a closed volume error at the room solid component. additionally these are unaltered geomtries that have run without this error just a few weeks ago (no change to tolerances or LB verisons).

mostly this is caused by inaccurate modelling. Everything you draw by hand can have small inaccuracies. Sometimes really small.
