3-Phase 5-Phase Diffusive Glass

Hi,

I am simulating a diffusive glass system over a greenhouse and after going through previous feedback and checking simulations, it seems Honeybee picks always a 2-phase system. As I am using BSDFs I expected it would automatically use 3 or 5 phase. How can I make sure a 5 phase system is used? I have used the HB BSDF Modifier in the apertures of the model, but when running wither HB Annual Irradiance or Daylight simulations only the 2-phase system is selected. How can I indicate in honeybee and in turn radiance that I have a complex fenestration system and thus require a 5 phase simulation?

Any tips on this matter for the latest version 1.9.0 is greatly appreciated.

Hi Alvaro,

My understanding is you don’t necessarily need to do a 3 or 5 phase calc to make use of your BSDFs. The 2-phase method might be fine as long as your using the HB BSDF modifier.
