Add_str_ seems to not be adding EMS routine

As the title says, I’m not able to find the ems routine I’ve made (in py compo) in the in.idf from the created dir from HB model to osm, which if I am not mistaken means the EMS isn’t making it to the simulation.
Does anyone have any ideas or know if I am doing something wrong?

today I learned non-ASCII characters are not allowed in *.idf files.
Therefore symbols like the following degrees symbols are not allowed and will prevent the ems script from being written into the in.idf file from the add_str_.
