Hi,
I have set up a simple model to examine the effect of sun shades on the indoor environment. The interfaces without windows are all set to be adiabatic, and according to the literature it is known that the application of horizontal shades should have good results in the area where the model is located. However, only adjusting the size of the shading panels, the room cooling loads change very little and the lighting loads remain exactly the same (as shown in the figure); moreover, the results of the “HB annual irradiance” show that the shades greatly influence the irradiation of the room.
In summary, this shades can affect irradiation but hardly affect energy loads. How should I check for errors and fix them?
