I am trying to model a simple set of rooms with the AFN.
The overall aim is to understand the comfort within the rooms, when a purely natural vent strategy is used. However, when i use Airwalls to do this, i always get 0m3 flow through the zone. Is anyone else finding this?
The image below shows the air walls visualized. The center room is a core with solid walls.
Also, it would be really handy to have a sample file for the AFN.
Yes, you can use the outputs AFN Linkage Node 1 to Node 2 Volume Flow Rate and AFN Linkage Node 2 to Node 1 Volume Flow Rate.
Keep in mind that for each pair of adjacent surfaces only one AFN Linkage is created, and it is assigned to only one of the two surfaces.
For example, in my case, the AFN linkage was assigned only to the air boundary face in the bedroom. If I remember correctly, Node 1 refers to the selected surface and Node 2 to the adjacent surface. Therefore, if air is entering the bedroom, Node 2 to Node 1 will have a positive value and Node 1 to Node 2 will be zero. The opposite when the air is leaving the bedroom.
