Average sDA300/50%

Hi,
In the Leed daylighting requirements, it is stated that sDA must be provided at “The average sDA300/50% value for the regularly occupied floor area” and additional points are for “Each regularly occupied space achieves”. What is the difference between “average regularly occupied floor” and “Each regularly occupied”. Does average mean that there can be a space where it is less than 300/50% and somewhere more, but, for example, the average value of two zones comes to the required level?
