Best way to import SketchUp into Rhino for clean daylight analysis

Hi everyone,

I’m importing a building model from SketchUp into Rhino to run annual daylight analysis, but I’m running into issues with the geometry not being clean or properly closed.

The model includes two pyramid-shaped warehouse forms (see attached), which may be contributing to the complexity?

I’m not too familiar with the technical side of Grasshopper, so I wanted to ask more generally:

What’s the best way to bring SketchUp models into Rhino for reliable daylight analysis?

Is it worth trying to convert the geometry into clean Breps, or is there a better workflow for handling more complex models like this?

Would it be better to simplify the model or use an alternative method rather than relying on full solid geometry?

Any advice on a workflow would be really helpful. Thanks!
