I have to run the energy simulation for a model where the actual building is inside a curtain wall outer boundary, and there is a buffer between this outer boundary and the inner wall of the usable space, which is a garden. What may be the best boundary conditions in HB Face to assign to the inner box’s walls and the outer box’s wall? I’m considering making the garden as a zone as well, since it carries its own microclimate different from that of the outside, which may influence the inner building box.
If I don’t assign the boundary condition as outdoor for this inner building box, then it wont recognize the windows on it, and if I add a whole room/zone for the buffer garden space, then the overlapping faces give me an error.
