BREP from Dragonfly model or Honeybee room?

Dragonfly has certainly simplify the geometry development phase of the modeling. My question is: is there a way to “bake” the resulting obejcts, so that we get the Rhino objects.

Another example is: in Honeybee, we can create glazing/ aperture by ratio. Is there a way to get the window geometry back in Rhino?

Below is an example from the example file “from_building_solids.gh” included in the installation folder. Is there a way to get the Rhino objects from the Honeybee/Dragonfly model?

Thanks

Hi @erydjunaedy,

Ladybug/Honeybee/Dragonfly geometry objects are different than rhino objects. If you -for some reason-realy want to save the geometry you could use the visualise by type and bake the meshes comming out of this component. These meshes however will not be reusable for energy simulations. If you want to save the Energy Model with all data it is much better to use the dump objects.

Hey @erydjunaedy ,

Sorry for the late response here and glad that you are getting a lot of use out of the Dragonfly workflows. What Erik proposed is definitely a way to get Rhino meshes from Honeybee objects. There are also a few other components under the 1::Visualize section that can give you the Honeybee geometry in various Brep formats.

I imagine that this HB Visualize All component is probably the closest thing to what you are looking for.
