I have installed the latest version of Rhino 8 and the compatible version of Ladybug tools (1.8). As I am working now on CFD studies, I needed to install Butterfly plugin, however the latest version of Butterfly (0.0.05) seems already outdated for the current Ladybug tools version, as it shows (old) when I use the components.
I need to know if there is a newer version of Butterfly or there is no way to use this plugin with latest version of Rhino and Ladybug.
Hi there, I am having the same issue that I can’t seem to fix.
Even when installing butterfly there is a label on the node saying ‘old’.
When I look at V 0.0.2 it shows that it’s a BUG fix and I can’t find install for this version:
‘Bug Fixes
docs: fix import on linux machine (c8fc0bb)’
I also tried installing gypython2 as it was recommended in one of the other forums, but still the same issue.
Does anyone know how to solve this, or where can the latest version be downloaded?
Thanks,
Bea
I’m experiencing the same issue — I can’t find the installer (.exe) or (.gh) file for the new version of Butterfly (v0.0.2).
on @mostapha’s GitHub page, there’s only a ZIP file of the source code, and I’m unsure how to use it. I also couldn’t find any mention of Butterfly in the latest Ladybug Tools installer — it includes Honeybee, Ladybug, and Dragonfly, but not Butterfly.
The only available version of Butterfly for Grasshopper seems to be the older one.
Does anyone have suggestions or guidance on how to install the new version?
