Hello, Can HB calculate Carbon Emission?
There’s isn’t a tool in HB for this, as far as I’m aware, but there are publicly available tools that provide conversion factors (at different levels of granularity) to convert your energy metric to a carbon emission value based on your factors like location and local grid. I don’t have enough knowledge in this domain to provide more details, but I know @eeshakhanna does. Perhaps she can provide more information.
@hoda are you looking for data for a specific region? For the US, the egrid dataset provides emissions factors for all regions at different resolutions. The balancing authority resolution is considered the most appropriate. Here’s a link to the dataset: https://www.epa.gov/egrid/download-data
