Computational - High Performance Designer

The Computational High Performance Designer will have experience in developing architectural design and delivery workflows in BIM and Computational methods using multiple platforms and have strong technical and communication skills. This position is part of the Digital Design Studio in the New York office, also working closely with our Sustainability team to provide environmental analysis for projects of all scope and scale.

Your Qualifications

· 5+ years of relevant experience as an architectural designer or job captain in either architectural, engineering and/or interior projects
· Experience working on LEED, LBC, Net Zero or Passive House projects
· Knowledge in parametric design and interoperable workflow particularly between Rhino and Revit
· Proficiency with Revit, Insight, Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper with a focus on analysis workflows including Diva, Ladybug Toolset, IES, OpenStudio, and EnergyPlus
· Ability to make clear, compelling visual presentations to present technical analyses to non-technical audiences
· Experience in architectural practice with management experience in design and document production
· Experience resolving complex technical and design issues
· Experience with Revit API, Python, C#, Processing, and scripting is a plus
· Modeling of mechanical systems and energy conservation measures is a plus
· Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
· Have both strong design and technical skills
· Have strong abilities to connect new technology with the needs of architectural design
· Passion for high performance buildings
· Must have architectural practice experience. Licensed architect preferred
