Hi @MingboPeng, @chris and @mostapha,
I’m trying to optimaze the battery capacity for my building, which is a 3 rooms office with an HVAC system based on an air source heat pump and a MVHR. In attached you can find the .gh file.
To model the PV + battery system I used the already made template PVs in Ironbug. The problem is that I cannot connect the HVAC system with the PV+battery. I tried to link the two systems as shown in the figure attached, but it gives me errors which I have no clue how to solve. I was wondering if you have any tips or hints to solve this issue. I would really appreciate that. Thank you in advance!
I just checked your file. There is one issue that I found is you are adding your Ironbug HVAC system twice. Since you have already added it to the Honeybee rooms, you don’t need to add the HVAC here with ELC. The OSM file from upstream should include the HVAC system.
That’s what I did in the the model I attached. My question was how can I connect the ASHP to the PV+Battery system so that the electricity from the PV+Battery can supply the ASHP, if ther’s a way. Here is my model again, if you what to give a look. Thank you in advance. LabZEBcompleto - PV REF.gh (818.9 KB)
Sorry I got your question mixed with another post.
For your question, once you add the PV to your model, the building will be using electricity from PV.
You can verify this by running the model with and without the ELC, and check “Electricity Coming From Utility” in the eplustbl.htm report in the output run folder.
Ok thank you! I have another fast question: I’m wondering why when I add the loads to my model (which are very small, I used the small office program) the ASHP seems not working properly, as shown in the picture attached. I set the heating setpoint at 21 degrees and the cooling setpoint at 25 degrees. Is there something I’m missing? Thanks again.
