createHBsrfs Interior Wall?

I’m modeling a single zone massing, and using createHBsrfs to assemble all the surfaces (exterior walls, ceilings, interior floor)…BUT…how do I create the Interior Wall as there is no “srfType_” code for interior walls (but there is for ceilings and interior floors). I can’t use Solve Adjacencies as there is no additional massing that is being modeled in order to find said interior walls. I can select them as AIRWALL but that is a no-mass surface and thus I won’t show thermal mass storage benefits by modeling this way, right? Maybe a 0.25 srfType_ code could be added for Interior Walls or would that cause chaos?

Any insight??

Hi @josh.greenfield
As I know, Honeybee does not supprot partition in closed room.Honeybee supported the interior wall between two rooms.

Yeah, too bad, it would be very, very practical to be able to model interior partition inside a room.

@Alakelele , @josh.greenfield ,

You could use the “HB Internal Mass”, if all you are after is the effect of the surface’s heat storage?

best,

Daylight and glare are really the goal here. But I get that this is asking something outside of the scope of the tool. For iteration it would be great to that capacity. Just a dream

But for daylight you can use multiple interior surfaces as context. I recently created a classroom with desks to find out the amount of lux above it.
