I want to create construction with just these two layers, but I got error why?
and how can I define the thickness of the insulation layer?

Hi @aaalyahya,
The EP materials are a strange kind of material definitions. Normaly you would think a material definition just contains material properties (like Therm materials are defined). But within EnergyPlus the material definition has to contain also a thickness, as you can see (8in concrete).
When you want to use Therm materials for energy simulation you have to use the “Honeybee_Therm Material to EnergyPlus Material” component.
Also the density and the specific heat have to be defined.
