Daylight & Electric Light Simulation

Hey there,

I’m trying to run a light simulation in HB to calculate the energy demand of electric lighting considering the annual daylight contribution.

From my current understanding this is not possible with LBT 1.8.0 as I can only cover the daylight part?

My current approach would be using legacy HB for this. But since I’m using LBT for other simulations, I’d like to export from LBT to legacy HB and import the results (probably just the aggregated energy demand) in LBT.

Does this make sense? Are there any best practices for this?

You can do this using the LBT plugins. You don’t need to use the legacy components. See the daylight_into_energy sample file.

I tried to used that script however it does not support additional luminaires as inputs?

Thanks you, this is extremely helpful.

As pelinavci mentioned, this is not exactly what I inteded to do, but it’s sufficient.
