EnergyPlus problem in Honeybee

Hi,

I have encountered an error using Honeybee. It showed “the currently Honeybee is not compatible with the Energy Plus Folder on my system. Make sure you have EnergyPlus installed on your system…” I have installed the Honeybee 0.0.58 along with Energy Plus 8-4-0 in Windows 10 system. I used the default directory.

After going through some similar questions, I have tried to update the Ladybug and Honeybee. Another problem came regarding the ladybug update with the error message: “Runtime Error (Win32Exception):WindowsErrorTraceback:line 230, in main, “<string>” line 248, in script.”

What’s going wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hi Maria X,

Try installing Energy Plus 8-3 since this the latest version that LB and HB are compitable with. You can find it in the E+ website under older versions. Hope this will solve your problem!

Sorry for my late reply and thanks for your help. I have downloaded Energy Plus 8-3, but it seems not really work.

Any ideas that what can I do?

Maria,

Neither of the images are related to energy simulation.

Back to the second image you need to either connect the filepath to _epwFile input or connect a boolean to openEpw component.

Thanks for your quick reply. Will the first image affect the simulation work? In terms of the second image, I have already opened an epw file and this problem never happened in my previous simulation. Any potential cause? Thanks!
