EPW Files in URBANopt

Hello,
I have used a climate change program to modify an EPW file and generated EPW files for 2050 and 2080 based on the 2018 file. However, when I applied these files to URBANopt, errors occurred, so I tried using the DF Create EPW component to resolve the issue.

When analyzing the results using the LB Import EPW component, the outcomes from the original EPW file (2018) appeared in the upper section of the graph as red, blue, and gray. On the other hand, the results processed through the DF Create EPW component appeared in the lower section of the graph, also as red, blue, and gray.

Why does the climate data appear lower after going through the DF Create EPW component? Additionally, how can I properly apply the EPW files I created to URBANopt?

Typically, when you have problems loading .ewp files there is either a problem with the header or the length of the file.

The first you can fix by opening in e.g. notepad, and copying in a header from a file before the transition into the future.

The second I’ve had happen when there is a leap year, so just check that the file has 8760 rows. And if there are 8761, then remove 29/2.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your response. Upon checking, despite having 8,760 rows, an error occurred. As shown in the image, when the file is connected directly, it displays the error message: “1. Solution exception: All of the OpenStudio workflows failed to execute.”
