Equipment power density in Honeybee

Hi

I am analysing energy performance of a school and trying to find out equipment power density for zones. One doubt that I have is regarding equipment load in service rooms (mechanical / HVAC rooms). I considered it as one zone in my building.

Obviously it must have a high power density leading to high internal loads.
I have found different values for that from 38 to 200 w/m2 in different resources and literatures.

My confusion is I think honeybee (like climate studio) calculates and add this equipment load to total EUI. But in the other hand EUI in HB is calculated including heating and cooling needs.

If I take a high value for this room like 200 W/m2 then the final EUI would be a lot (added to cooling and heating needs calculated based on set point and …) . if I don’t and take it 0 or 38, then the calculation for the internal heat gains will not be reliable (I also need peak load for designign a new hvac system and ductwork)

What do u think about this?
