Errors with Vertical Shading and Daylight Simulation

Shading Designer

I’m having an issue when the number of shades is set to 1 on the ladybug shading designer (vertical orientation).

The error code is “1. Solution exception:iteration over non-sequence of type NoneType”

The component works when the number of shades is set to 2, but that’s not what I’m looking for. The horizontal shading is working correctly.

Relating to the Daylight Simulation.

I’m also getting the error “1. Solution exception:‘NoneType’ object has no attribute ‘UserDictionary’”, more specifcally:

Runtime error (MissingMemberException): ‘NoneType’ object has no attribute 'UserDictionary’
Traceback:

line 1602, in writeRADAndMaterialFiles, “<string>”
line 193, in main, “<string>”
line 258, in script

I think it has something to do with the rad material assigned to the shades, because when I disconnect them from the simulation, it works fine.

  1. I would generate two shadings and then pick the first one.

  2. It looks like one of the inputs to HBObjects is None.

Hi Mostapha,
I am using this component from LB-Legacy (version 0.0.6.9) and am having the same issue with this component. I get this error when I try to simulate vertical fins. As I am unable to see the images, could you please elaborate on generating 2 shadings.

Hello community,

I´m continuing with this error.

When I set vertical the east shading its ok

But when I set the south shading it is wrong.

How can I solve?

Best regards!

Solved, I finally used window shade generator. This battery works fine.
