Hello all. Is there a source for additional information on the definitions in the window constructions library? I’m not familiar enough with glazing types to know what all the abbreviations mean.
(if the answer is simply: it’s in WINDOW, then, I will happily install it:)
Hi @NickNovelli
2 important docs exist:
The first one shows the fenestration
IO in the EnergyPlus and EnergyPlus-inspired distributions and the last one indicates the mathematics behind the curtains. The keyword you need to search for the windows from an E+ is fenestration
Thank you @behnammmohseni. I’m familiar with the IO and Eng refs…everything we need to know is indeed in there! I was looking for info on translation from the library definitions into names in the HB libraries. Specifically, what “Elec” in the library names (i.e., in “U 0.29 SHGC 0.11 Dbl LoE Elec Ref Colored 6mm/13mm Air”) indicates - is that an electrochromic (or otherwise dynamic) window type?
Hi @NickNovelli
yes, Elec is short for electrochromic
