HB AD Comfort with AFN and Exhaust Fan

Hi,

Please find my script of an adaptive comfort study of a two-storey building. I want to find out how exhaust fans can help with the thermal comfort - my thinking is: the higher the exhaust fan flowrate measured in ACH, the more heat is removed from the room, the closer the dry bulb temperature is to the outdoor temperature. But the simulations show the exhaust ACH has no impact on the resultant comfort at all!

Could anyone please advise? Thanks.

Just seen your message. Looks like the object used here “ZoneAirFlowDesign” doesnt work with AFN. Try simulating without passing trought AFN component ; )

If you want to implement a fixed flow rate “natural or fan” while using AFN, you need to explore both DesignFlowRate and AirFlowNetwork Objects! I’m still looking for a way myself ^^
