Help please setup Daylight analysis

I am a Vectorworks user on a Mac, trying to learn Rhino. Don’t know how to use GH.

I have a building consent application (Drawn in VW) in with the Council atm. One of the questions is, please demonstrate compliance with G7 Natural light to comply. ’30 Lux in the bedroom for 75% of the year’

This room and the adjacent kitchen is partly covered by an upper overhang. I have increased the window size, added a frosted glass bedroom door and ‘painted’ the room white. The council still want ‘proof’, even if i can show a reference building as example.

I have spent a couple of days installing Ladybug tools, setting up a Rhino model and watching/reading information. I can see how it could work but really need some help.

Is there someone who would be willing to help?
Many thanks.

I can see from the silence that i maybe asking too much. I will need to keep watching and learning Grasshopper to develop this skill over time.

However, i think i may have solved the issue outside of Rhino, bumping into an external vendor with the necessary skills to assist.
Won’t know until the application is made.
Many thanks.

Hi @Boatman, there is a sample file on github for annual daylight analysis
hopefully that is helpful

Hi Trevor,
Many thanks for that. It was the help i was seeking, just to get a start.
With GH and Rhino its what you don’t know that causes stumbles for me anyway.
Not knowing which command or terminology to look for.
