Hot Water L/hr-m2 for Single Family Home?

I am trying to build up a Program for a single-family home based on the NREL Build America House Simulation Protocol and am a little confused? I wonder if anyone has any suggestions or insight on these? Specifically I am trying to make use of their data around hot-water.

In the BA document, they show a few things related to HW that I had thought I could use:

Section 2.1.4 has a lot of information about end-use, which it shows in total Gallons/day:

but then in Section 4.3, they also show several use-type-specific (dishwasher, etc…) use profiles:

It is unclear to me how these two sections relate to one another (or if they do?)? Using the gal/day values from Section 2.1.4, I would think I could just convert that to a L/hr value, and then set a constant schedule to 1 to the HB-E Program, so something like:

But that doesn’t make any use of the end use schedules in Section 4.3? Perhaps those don’t apply in this case, since we’re not modeling actual end-use HW equipment?

I wonder: has anyone ever tried to use these inputs before, or tried to reconcile these various sections before? I wonder how / if they can be used to build up HB-E Programs, or if I’m just totally barking up the wrong tree here trying to use this guideline document?

any thoughts or input are much appreciated!
