How is the exterior surface area of infiltration calculated?

Hello,

Reading old topics on this forum, I learned that infiltration was calculated as m3/s/m2 of floor area in older versions of HB (if I understood correctly).

As I started using HB last year, the only component I’ve been using is the HB Infiltration, that takes a value of m3/s/m2 of exterior surface area.

I would like to know what is considered an exterior surface area by HB?

I’m guessing outside walls and roofs, but does it also include floors that are above a crawl space (exterior floors) for example?

Understanding this will help me to correctly translate conventional values that I have in m3/h/m2 of floor area to HB.

Thank you,
