How to create construction from R-value as the only input?

you can use the HB Opaque Material No Mass component to create an R value material you can then use to make your construction.

What I need is, I’ll input R values and i should get what kind of material it is ? (like, wood, concrete, etc) and the thickness of the material and depending on the thickness it’ll define the materials type.

Please let me know why we use the “no mass” material block instead of the other block, doesn’t “no mass” material corresponds to fabrics such as carpets and other floor components.

The below excerpt from the energyplus documentation describes when Material:NoMass would be used.
“Use this definition when only the thermal resistance (R value) of the material is known. This object is used to describe opaque construction elements.”
