How to define various lots to analyse UHI

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here and I am extremely new to Rhino-Grasshopper operations so please excuse me if I come across uninformed.

I want to analyse UHI with Urban Weathor Generator/Dragonfly. But in the area that I want to analyse consist of different lots such as parking lot, pavement lot, roadway lot. And the materials of these lots are different. In the ‘City’ compenent there are only typologies, terrain, trees and grass area to define city.

Should I define various lots (parking, pavement, roadway) and different albedo values for different lots?

It sounds like you aren’t really interested in urban air temperature as much as you are interested in the surface temperatures of different types of materials. I recommend you search the forums for topics covering this. Like this one:

Yes. The solar panel surfaces are somewhere over 60°C, while the outdoor temperature is roughly 30°C. I would like to have a thermal map of the heat influence on the surrounding. The image below is an example of how the temperature influences the outside, but in this case it lowers the temperature on the immediate surrounding.
