Hello everyone!
we can get ‘direct normal irradiance’ from a ‘deconstruct Wea’ component and how can we get that of a ‘CIE standard sky’ component?
Does anybody know how to get this thing?
I doubt it can be done, at least just by directly parsing the output of a sky file generated through gensky. The figure below should give you some ideas. The default locations for gensky and gendaylit are the same.

Thank you Sarith! Thought it was something like some function of a component or legacy one that I missed out on, turns out it requires some radiance and code knowledge.
This isn’t exactly direct normal irradiance but the HB Visualize Sky component will give you the global horizontal irradiance of the sky in the ghi
output. So you could use that if you’re trying to compare skies with one another.
