How to know if calculating energy demand or comsuption

Hello

I am simulating the performance of a building considering different adaptive solution implemented in the building (façade and roof). The idea is to compare the effectiveness of solutions in different climate zones. For the analysis I will compare comfort and energy demand.

I have already defined the model and simulate it, but I am not sure if I am obtaining demand or consumption. I have not defined any HVAC, default Ladybug defines an ideal electric component, is this right?

I am using Ladybug 1.6, and I am reading simulation result (.sql file) with HB Read Room Energy results. Is Heating and cooling obtained energy results demand or consumption? How can ensure that I am reading demand and not consumption?

While using the default Ideal_Load_System, it will give you energy LOADS and nor real consumption.

I will say so The correct term is loads, but i guess loads is your intention for demands.
