hello everyone, when I get a energy simulation in honeybee,I’m confused with the room’s condition. Is there any relationship with energy simulation and indoor comfort? In my opinion, when doing a energy simulation, the default is to keep the indoor comfort steady,so even I change the room’s information, the PMV don"t change.I wonder if my idea is right, thanks a lot!
Hi @witty,
With energy simulation you have to define setpoints. The temperature setpoint managers look at the air temperature. So if you have a room with large windows facing the sun you will have comfort problems, even if setpoints are set to comfortable values. Radiation is playing an important role.
For getting an idea about comfort, you can also generate a comfort map. In one room you will have different comfort values.
Here you can find a lot of examples.
