Insulating interior walls: no improvement in comfort!

Hi,

I’m running simulations on a simple house to test the effect of wall insulation on thermal comfort. It has a few windows and no HVAC. The results have been surprising, as thermal comfort practically does not increase, or even worsens sometimes. I know this by:
(a) Checking “total hours not comfortable”, and
(b) Noticing both colder and hotter extremes in the Psychrometric chart.

This is all in comparation to the baseline scenario with no insulation. I’ve tried different insulation materials and thicknesses (triple-checking the EP materials’ thermal values), and do not find improvements. The question is: am I making a mistake in the Honeybee model, or could these results be expected for the site conditions? I am a new user and so I am not allowed to upload files.

Thanks!
