Hi. When I plug in an IB_ObjParam into the IB_IdealAirLoad component, it lets me define the minimum supply air temperature. However, this value (nor the default) is respected when I plot the Zone Ideal Loads Supply Air Temperature.
I’ve come to the conclusion, that its because of the Cooling Mode as defined in the Engineering Reference, stating: If outdoor air sensible impact is >= load to zone cooling setpoint and the current thermostat type is not SingleHeatingSetPoint, then unit is in cooling mode. (Ideal Loads Air System: Engineering Reference — EnergyPlus 8.0)
@chris or @MingboPeng Is there a way to overwrite the standard definition of the Cooling Mode, which would force the Ideal Air Load system to respect the min. supply temperature no matter the conditions of the outside air?
I am not sure how you set up your zone, theoretically, a cooling system should never supply an air flow at 2C directly to a thermal zone. Typically for a cooling system, it should be around 15.5C ish for the supply air temperature.
You must have set something unreasonably wrong.
