Ironbug - Radiant panel error

Hello everyone,

I am trying to make a model which has radiant ceiling. So I used HVACtemplate in Ironbug and I received the following error.

  1. layer_4 is not a valid material name/definition.
Create the material first and try again.

I didn’t touch anything. But there was an error. The “Internal Source” is the problem.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is not Ironbug’s issue, it seems you don’t have Honeybee material library installed correctly.

Could you try this example to see if you have a problem with this example? http://hydrashare.github.io/hydra/viewer?owner=chriswmackey&fork=hydra_2&id=Custom_Radiant_Heating_Cooling_System

Thank you for answering. I tried this example and have same problem. There is no other error in this example.

Hi @allfe4 you are missing the library on your machine.

You can download this file, and unzip it to C:\ladybug
OpenStudioMasterTemplate.zip (80.0 KB)

Thank you, the problem solved.
It works well !!

Hi, again. I was so busy that I checked only that component without running the simulation.
I thought the problem solved and actually “Internal source” problem have solved.
However, I ran Openstudio simulation today and I found another error.

This is the same example and I received the following errors.

  1. Custom Radiant HVAC selected
but no surfaces with Internal Source constructions were found.

  2. The simulation has not run correctly because of this severe error:
** Severe ** GetSurfaceData: Zone has no surfaces, Zone=RADIANTHOME

  3. The simulation has failed because of this fatal error:
** Fatal ** GetSurfaceData: Errors discovered, program terminates.
