I’m trying to simulate external perforated shading, and noticed fine perforated modelled geometry gets simplified to a solid panel.
There’s a useful workflow here given by Chris Mackey, but the HB_EnergyPlus Window Shade Generator is no longer available in the latest LBTs/HB.
Because the legacy plugin is so old at this point and was never fully functional beyond Rhino 6, we don’t really answer questions about it anymore.
I’ll just say that, if you want to do this type of study in the latest version of LBT Honeybee, you should use the HB Shade Material to represent the perforated screen and make a window construction that contains it using the HB Window Construction Shade component.
