I am having the same issue with the HB Check Versions (error: 1. solution exception: index out of range: 1). I am working in a macOS Monterey 12.5, Rhino 7, and a just installed Ladybug Tools 1.5.0. I also installed the Radiance 5.4a and OpenStudio.
I followed the compatibility matrix for the installations proceedings. Then I took a look more carefully on the other softwares.
I realized the problem is actually in the compatibility of OpenStudio and EnergyPlus with the current macOS system… The currently version is 12.5.1 and OS and E+ are compatible with the version 10.15.
So Ladybug tolls are working perfectly, but the simulation is not working due to that.
Thanks for letting us know, @MonicaPinto . I guess MacOS must be going through some big changes beyond just the name change from “OSX” to “macOS.” You’re right that I see the last release of EnergyPlus is only partially supported in macOS 11:
But I can see that there’s macOS 12 support in the latest development version of EnergyPlus that you can find here:
You can give that development version a try, which should at least get the HB Annual Loads component working for you (though not the “Model to OSM” component). In any case, hopefully this means that the next stable release of OpenStudio/E+ happening in the next 2 months will work for you.
