Ladybug_encode error

Hello everyone,

I’m currently a student learning Grasshopper, and while I have read through many posts here, I couldn’t find a clear guide regarding the Encode error that occurs during Ladybug installation.

Unfortunately, I cannot change the user folder name on my C drive to English, so at the moment, it feels like the only available solution is to use the Pollination plugin.

If there is any better way to solve this encoding issue, I would really appreciate your advice or guidance.

If you are on Windows, the easiest way around this is to just install using the free single-click Pollination Grasshopper installer as you see referenced across this forum.

If you are on Mac, then I can tell you that the issue results from an unsupported character in your username. Probably this one:

The easiest way around it might be to just change your username, though there may be some ways of doing it by changing the encoding of your operating system.
