Ladybug for radiation study through glazing. Can it be done?

Hi,

I would like to study the impact of coated glazing in the direct radiation levels of a (retail) interior space (horizontal plane at table level). Can this be done in Ladybug for Dynamo? Is there any learning resource dealing with this specific analysis?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can do it with honeybee in Dynamo. It is basically the same as daylight studies but you should change the study type to radiation. Also make sure your values for the materials is the SHGC and not the transmittance. Dynamo package includes a number of sample files which can be a good place to get you started.

You mean the sample files in Honeybee “extra” folder, right? We will go through them
